When should I start shopping for my dress ?
We recommend that brides begin shopping 9 to 12 months before the wedding. We find that having selected your wedding date and venue makes for a more informed choice when selecting your dress. This allows you to select a gown that is both comfortable and appropriate for the setting and helps to avoid any rush fees.
Do I need to book an appointment at Ashley and Alexandria’s, Southfied,Michigan?
We are exclusively by appointment only. You may book your appointment online with our appointment scheduler and it will always be confirmed by phone by one of our associates. We plan your private appointment by prepping dresses based on our pre- appointment consultation. There is a non-refundable $50.00 investment cost which may be applied to your gown should you decide to shop with us, this fee is applied to the purchase of your wedding dress.
How many people may accompany me to my appointment?
We ask that you limit your guests to three or four. Most brides are able to make a confident decision when they limit their guests to only those whose style and opinions they trust implicitly.
How long are our appointments?
Typically we attempt to keep the appointments between 60-90 minutes depending on how quickly we are able to complete the process from start to finish.
What are the price ranges for your gowns?
Our gowns start on average between at $3,000 and can go up to $15,000.
When Should I make an appointment if my wedding is less than six months away?
Select gowns can be purchased outside of our typical lead times and may incur a rush shipping fee. We also have a limited number of "off the rack" gowns available for as-is purchase.
How would I schedule an appointment for my family and I, If I live out of State?
If you decide you want to schedule an appointment for yourself and family but it depends on scheduling and your availability due to work, completing educational functions or other unforeseen circumstances we are flexible, if you give us a call in advance, or just decide you cannot honor your commitment, we can work thru those issues as long as we both agree and discuss a detail plan of what works for both parties.
What is a trunk show?
A trunk show is an event exhibiting a designer's most recent collection, typically featuring styles not currently in stores. If you find a gown you love at a trunk show please be prepared to purchase before the event ends, as it may no longer be available for purchase once the trunk show is over.

What is required to secure my dress after saying yes ?
We require partial payment and final payment due before your dress is due to arrive in the store.
When should I schedule my first alterations fitting?
You will be contacted and scheduled for your First Look appointment. At this time you try on your gown and schedule your first alterations fitting. Your first alterations fitting is typically eight weeks before your wedding.
What should I bring to my first fitting?
Please bring the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear on your wedding day to ensure the gown is fitted properly.
Are alterations included with the price of the Dress?
Alterations are not included as a packaged cost with your wedding dress at Ashley and Alexandria’s Bridal atelier. We do if you decide, have an onsite Seamstress That we provide for a separate fee based on what type of customization will be required or can be created to your specification.
